Pre-owned Bremont DH-88 DH-88/SS

The Bremont DH-88 Limited Edition celebrates the de Havilland DH-88 Comet, Grosvenor House, and its 1934 record-breaking flight winning an incredible air-race from England to Australia. Delivered in a special commemorative box with a red leather case. The Bremont Comet DH-88 features some neat finishing touches such as the red screws & a red rotor which has been fitted with a small sampling of spruce plywood from the undercarriage of the original race-winning aircraft.

Case: Polished stainless steel case with a black DLC treat case barrel (center). Vintage style crowns. Black main dial. Silvered chrono sub-dials & 24 hour dial flange. Luminous Arabic Numeral hour markers. Fine printed minute/seconds track. Polished hour & minute hands with luminous fill. Small seconds sub-dial  with red hand at 9 o'clock. Date window at 3 o'clock. Chronograph function: Large red central seconds counter hand. 30 minute counter sub-dial at 3 o'clock. 12 hour counter sub-dial at 6 o'clock. The minute & hour counter hands are  black. GMT/Dual Timezone function: Indicated by the additional red arrow-head tipped hand which functions as GMT hour hand. The GMT hand make a single full revolution once every 24 hours & points to the 24 hour indications printed in Arabic numerals on the silver dial flange. The 24 hour ring can be adjusted forward or backward with the crown at the 8 o'clock position.

Strap:  Fitted on its original black calfskin leather strap with its original stainless steel tang buckle. An additional brushed stainless steel OEM Bremont deployant clasp is included - see pictures.

Movement: Powered by a Bremont Caliber 13 1/4” BE-54AE, beats at 28,800 vph, contains 25 Jewels & has an approximate power reserve of 42 hours.

Condition: In near new condition. Worn a handful of times at most, this watch came in & is ready to go as is. Delivered with the complete set of box & papers.
