Limited & numbered edition of 700 pieces, released in 2022 commemorating the 15th anniversary of Grand Seiko's first Spring Drive chronograph.
Case: Brushed & polished titanium case. Deep electric blue dial. Bi-directional rotating bezel with sapphire crystal insert and luminous 24-hour indications. Faceted brushed & polished hour & minute hands with luminous fill. Applied hour markers with luminous fill. Blue dial flange with printed minutes/seconds and fractional-seconds track. Small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. Date window at 3 o'clock.
- Chronograph function:
- Central seconds counter hand.
- 30 minute counter sub-dial between 1 & 2 o'clock.
- 12 hour counter sub-dial between 4 & 5 o'clock.
- GMT/2nd Time zone:
- 24-hour markings on the dial and 24-hour bi-directional rotating bezel.
- Polished yellow gold arrow-head GMT hand makes one revolution every 24 hours and indicates the second time zone.
- The second time zone is indicated in 24-hour mode to eliminate confusion between day & night.
- Power Reserve Indicator:
- located between 6 & 8 o'clock.
Bracelet: Fitted on its original GS brushed titanium bracelet with a push-button deployant clasp. The bracelet will fit up to an 8.25" wrist (21cm).
Movement: Powered by a Grand Seiko Spring Drive caliber 9R96. Spring Drive is a spring-driven mechanical movement regulated by electronic technology, combining a mechanical mainspring with a quartz oscillator and electromagnetic regulation for exceptional accuracy.
- No external source of power, such as a battery, is required.
- The unwinding force of the mainspring generates a small electrical current. The electrical power is used to activate the electronic circuit and quartz oscillator, which vibrates at 32,768 Hz and provides a precise reference signal to the integrated circuit.
- The IC compares the speed of the quartz oscillator with the speed of the glide wheel and applies an electromagnetic brake when it detects the glide wheel turning too fast.
- The seconds hand moves in a continuous, extremely smooth gliding motion and is accurate to ±0.5 second per day (±10 seconds per month).
- Contains 50 jewels and has an approximate power reserve of 72 hours (3 days).
Condition: This watch is in excellent near new condition. We have had the watch lightly polished to remove most signs of wear that were present, however an effort was made to maintain the original factory 'zaratsu' finishing. We would be comfortable rating this watch in a 97% overall condition. Delivered in its original box with all papers.
