SPECIAL EDITION Dedicated to Charles Darwin & his expedition to the Galapagos islands. Bronze is a non-corrosive metal, over the course of time the bronze will assume a patina turning a darker color giving the watch unmistakable & unique character. The bronze color theme follows through to the watch dial with a light bronze colored luminescent material. The case back features an elaborately engraved portrait of Charles Darwin.

Case: Polished & brushed bronze case. Black rubber coated chronograph buttons & crown. Applied black rimmed index hour markers with light bronze colored luminous that illuminates with a bluish glow. Black rimmed hour & minutes hands with light bronze colored luminous fill. White printed minute/seconds track on the dial perimeter. Date window at the 3 o'clock. Small seconds sub-dial located at 6 o'clock.

  • Flyback function which allows for instant restarting of the stopwatch with a single push of the button, rather than the need to stop, reset & then restart the stopwatch.

  • Uni-directional rotating bezel.
  • Black bezel ring located under the crystal.
  • The diving scale indications from 0 to 15 is a light bronze colored luminous material which illuminates green, and from 15 to 0 is white printed indications (non-luminous).
  • Rotating the external bezel ring counter-clockwise will engage the inner bezel. However rotating the external bezel ring clockwise will not engage the inner bezel, preventing the risk of extending the period of time the diver remains under water. The bezel interaction mechanism is accomplished via the 'sliding clutch system' which allows the external bezel to interact with the internal bezel ring, while maintaining the water resistance integrity of the watch. The sliding clutch system is fitted with a cover located on the case edge at the 9 o'clock position.

Strap: Fitted with its original black rubber strap with a quick-change system featuring a spring loaded lever located on the lug ends of the strap, allowing for easy removal of the strap - no tools necessary. With a bronze tang buckle. The rubber strap is in meticulous condition with little to no signs of wear. 

Movement: Powered by an IWC in-house caliber 89365 which beats at 28,800 vph, contains 35 jewels & has power reserve of +/- 68 hours.

Condition: This watch is in excellent near new overall condition, worn a handful of times at the most. A slight patina, characteristic for bronze has begun to develop on this timepiece. The watch does not have any noticeable scratches, dents or dings. The protective back sticker is still in place.  We would rate this watch in a solid 98% overall condition. Delivered in its original box with all papers. The original owner has had the factory warranty extended through the IWC care program until 06/26/2026.
