Geophysic® 1958 Automatic Limited edition of 300 pieces.
A re-edition of the 1958 model which was produced by JLC for scientists of the International Geophysical Year in 1958. The original watch was designed to withstand extreme conditions. The watch boasted anti-magnetic & anti-shock qualities and very reliable accuracy, all a huge advancement back in 1958. This re-edition captures the spirit of the watch, although with a more generous case size & a newer more advanced movement.
Polished 18kt rose gold case with brushed finished sides. White dial. Applied rose gold hour markers. Fine printed minute/seconds track. Luminous dot hour markers painted on the brushed finished rose gold case ring surrounding the dial but under the crystal. Polished rose gold hands, the hour & minute hands with vintage colored luminous fill.
Fitted on its original & unworn brown alligator leather strap with a rose gold tang buckle.
Powered by a Jaeger LeCoultre calibre 898/1 with 30 jewels & a power reserve of +/- 43 hours.
We took this watch in from a collector who never wore this watch. This watch is truly unworn & with the complete set of box & papers. It is in perfect condition.
