About this watch:
- AKA the "Sandwich Hesalite" Speedmaster due to it having a glass transparent case back & a hesalite crystal top.
- Features a very rare yellow gilt caliber 863. Produced for a very short period in 1996-1997 before transition to the steel 1863 movement.
- As part of the factory service Omega polished the watch and changed the crystal, bezel ring, gaskets, crown, buttons & hands.
- The original crystal, bezel ring, gaskets, crown, buttons, hands and some replaced movement components are all included in a separate container.
- The dial is original with a nice patina setting into the luminous hour markers.
- Dial is signed T SWISS MADE T with tritium luminous index hour markers & hands.
- Fitted on its original 1499/842 bracelet.
Case: Brushed & polished stainless steel case. Black dial. White hands, the center hands with luminous fill. Luminous index hour markers. Fine printed minutes/seconds & fractions of a seconds track. Small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock.
- Chronograph functions:
- Large luminous tipped central seconds counter hand.
- 30 minute sub-dial counter at 3 o'clock.
- 12 hour sub-dial counter at 6 o'clock.
Bracelet: Fitted on its original brushed & polished stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp. The bracelet has all links. The watch will fit up to an 8" wrist.
Movement: Powered by a vintage yellow gold gilt Omega caliber 863 (base Lemania1873), beats at 21,600 vph (3.5Hz), contains 18 jewels & has a power reserve of +/- 48 hours.
Condition: This watch is excellent condition. The watch has a complete factory (Omega USA) service completed in December 2023. We would be comfortable grading this watch in 90%+ overall condition. Delivered in its original box with the original instruction manual &, warranty card. Included is a copy of the Omega service letter & a branded factory service pouch.
