A little history about this watch!
- 16710 T is the model number engraved between the lugs. The T refers to a Transitional model which featured a slightly slimmer case design.
- 16710 A is the model number on the warranty card. The A refers to black/red bezel aka the COKE bezel.
- M Serial Number places the production year in 2008.
- 3186 Movement: The original 16710 models contained Rolex's time-tested & reliable 3185. In Basel 2007 Rolex officially announced the end of production for the long running 16710, to be replaced with the newer 116710. The newer version watch would feature a Cerachrom bezel & an upgraded 3186 movement with Rolex's new Parachrom hairspring. The final production pieces of the 16710 were delivered with the newer 3186 calibre. Only a relatively few pieces of the 16710 were delivered with the 3186 movement, making it rare & collectible.

The watch is functioning very well. While it passed its water pressure test, we would not recommend immersing this watch in water.
The watch shows quite a bit of wear. Although its bezel seems to have been spared & is in surprisingly good condition with no nicks or scratches. To our knowledge this watch has not be refinished. We have not had the watch refinished as most collectors prefer a watch in its original condition & to preserve its original corners. However, if a buyer would like to have the watch professionally refinished to near-new condition, we will gladly do so at no charge.
