The Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921 is one of the most distinctive designs in fine watchmaking. Originally created in 1921 for the American market, it features a cushion-shaped case, a diagonally rotated dial for easy reading while driving, and a crown uniquely positioned between 1 and 2 o’clock.This particular version is an exceptionally rare regional edition created primarily for the Middle Eastern market, distinguished by striking green Eastern Arabic numerals and a matching green strap. Produced in very limited quantities and seldom seen outside the region, it stands among the most elusive modern variations of the iconic 1921.
Case: Polished 950 platinum case. Silver dial with a grained finish. Polished hands. Green painted Eastern Arabic numeral hour markers. Fine printed minute track on a flat silver chapter ring. Small seconds sub-dial at 3 o'clock.
Strap: Fitted on its original Vacheron Constantin green alligator leather strap with a solid 950 platinum tang buckle. The strap is in excellent, near new condition with its full wear lifespan remaining. We would be comfortable rating the strap as in 98%+ condition.
Movement: Powered by a manual-wound Vacheron Constantin in-house caliber 4400 AS, beats at 28,800 vph (4Hz), contains 21 jewels & has a power reserve of +/- 65 hours. The movement is stamped with the
Geneva Quality Hallmark.
Condition: This watch is excellent near-new condition. The original owner wore it a handful of times only during the few months he owned the watch. We have had this watch lightly buffed to restore its luster (it was not polished). We would be comfortable grading this watch in 98%+ overall condition. Delivered in its original box with the instruction manual & warranty card. With registration the warranty can be extended until 08/2033.
